| Main disadvantages: The room 210 is not nice at all, especially for someone with suitcases or visiting Madrid for first time. The remote control was not working well.
I booked the room on the same day as the reservation at around 10:00am. I called the hotel to check if there is a possibility to check in earlier than the set time (12). To my discontent, the receptionist recommended I do not come to the hotel until afternoon (3). So rather than have my earlier check in, I had to take a tour around Madrid and come 3 hours after set check in time. That was a missing value during my stay. |
| Main advantages: As far as I have seen during my 12 hours at the hotel, it appears well maintained with nice furniture and decoration. The entrance looks impressive. The check in and housekeeping on that day were friendly. |

| Main advantages: This is a well-kept and comfortable hotel, located in a quiet square
with easy access to the city centre by metro or bus or even walking. The
airport can be reached by metro in 45 mins with one easy change. The weed-
end offer was very good value for money. |

| Main advantages: I had a wonderful stay at the Conde Duque. Did a lot of research on
hostels/lower priced hotels and found a great deal here. The hotel was
very convenient for me... I walked to the metro and there was a
Supermarket (El Corte Ingles) right up the street. The staff was very
professional & friendly ( despite my limited Spanish). The rooms were
clean and comfortable, and slept great in the beds. A bit smaller than
usual, but excellent value for $100/night. I would definetly stay here
again next time I'm in Madrid & will recommend to others! |

| Main advantages: Breakfast was very good. Service and friendliness of personal was excellent. Although the Condue Duque is a "grand hotel", our child (20 months) was very welcome and we felt comfortable during the whole stay. |

| Main disadvantages: The location is not very central, if you want to walk to the musuem mile
of Palza major, It was betwen 20 - 30 minutes walk, but probably no more
than 7-10 minutes by metro. |

exceptionally good considering it was in a European city and for the
price we paid. |

| Main advantages: The proprietor's hospitality, and care and attention to detail, were exceptional. On the day of departure there was a gneral strike in Spain. The proprietor took the trouble to phone the ferry company on our behalf to get details of any disruptions to travel. As it was end of season, we were the only guests, yet the proprietor still put out the full breakfast buffet for us and a very good buffet breakfast it was too. |

| Main advantages: Great hotel in a part of the city that many people may not know about. Its walking distance to bars and restaurants in Malasana, Parque del Oeste, Plaza Espana, and Conde Duque. And it's a quick metro ride to all the other main sites in the center of the city. The staff were friendly and provided quality service. Breakfast buffet was a good way to start the day, and the beds provided a comfortable sleep at night. Good place to bring families that want to spend time to get to know the city, but not be too close to the big crowds. |
