The Caballeros de Gracia is situated only minutes from the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia. 2 nearby metro stations offer easy transport around the city. The Caballeros de Gracia are elegant and modern, with free wired internet available. There is good soundproofing, lots of natural light and marble floors. Main disadvantages: Although the rooms are soundproof, you can still hear some of the noise outside, but this was no problem for us (too tired from looking after a 10month old twins!!)

Main advantages: Juan, the manager is a wonderful person and has make the experience even better. He waits for you to hand you the key of your apartment and he is always a mobile phone away to see to any problem or question. The flats are very spacious and are very well equipped with kitchenette, washing machine, drying cupboards etc. Great for a family who wants to explore Madrid. We were travelling with twins and the studio was big enough to fit a double bed and two cots side by side!

Main disadvantages: Hot water is limited so, plan accordingly.

Main advantages: The location is very convenient. It is very near subway, shopping and restaurants. It is also very close to the train station (5 min taxi ride). Close to Del Prado and many other local landmarks.

Main disadvantages: A very noisy air conditioning unit from elsewhere which opened onto a courtyard where our bedroom overlooked. This woke us up on a number of occasions.We ran out of hot water on one occasion and had to be careful not to do so again.

Main advantages: A very friendly manager and his wife. Very helpful re advice for restaurants etc. Alot of room in the apartment. Felt very secure with three strong well locked doors.Very close to lots of places to eat, shop and see.

Main disadvantages: A bigger bed in the studio would be nice.

Main advantages: We had a hard time looking for the hotel as the sign is small and not easy to find. The apartment was spacious for two people but the bed was rather small. The location is superb as the shopping street was just at the end of the road. The metro was also very near. Juan was very helpful and told us where to go. I would want to stay here agaib in my next trip.
