Main advantages: The room was very nice but the small family touches were outstanding. A few chocolates and some mineral water as well as a personal note from the owners was very nice. The hotel was very quiet yet located right off the main square. If you stay here you should eat in the restaurant. It was one of the 2 best meals I had in the 2 weeks I was in Germany. Nicely cooked and professionally presented. Fine dining experience. Breakfast was also very well done. Highly recommend this hotel for the quiet and the food.

Craig Richmond upon Thames, United Kingdom - Group tour

Main advantages: It's a historic type building in the just off the pedestrian centre. Well located in this little tourist town. (But a walk uphill or downhill with bags, depending where you park). It has all of the facilites of a bigger modern hotel, squeezed into this little building. But do consider eating here if you are staying here. The food is superb. And the hosts are very welcoming.

Main disadvantages: Wuld be helpful if site or a cnfirmation email would have directions for driving to parking location. Had to drive into square, ask where it was then walk up to place and have someone from hotel come with us to show where to park.

Main advantages: The location was excellent for Cochem and all the staff very helpful. It's on a side "street" to the central square, but can't drive on it. Hotel staff helped us find the parking area. Our room was good sized and immaculate. Owners a delight to talk with and the meals they prepared outstanding. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel and would highly recommend.

Main disadvantages: Parking is a challenge. There is nothing right near the hotel. We parked near the river and used the meter every three hours. Not required during the night. If you have heavy bags, drop a passenger in the square, park the car and help take the bags up the steps to the hotel. The hotel has an elevator

Main advantages: The room was cozy, welcome chocolates and on each side of the bed were little stuffed bears with small bags of gummi bears, a nice touch. Many German hotels slide two beds together to make a double, this hotel uses a full sheet which kept the mattresses together and avoided the "crack". The restaurant is superb. The region is known for the wine but simply ask for a pairing with the meal and be delighted with the selection for each portion of the meal. Breakfast is good. The hotel is in the middle of town, easy walk to the river, the castle etc.
