Main disadvantages: No heating yet. Only 2 small towels per person. No remote controller to the tv. Breakfast room a bit dark. Prepare for climbing stairs as reception is on 2nd floor (without public elevator).

Main advantages: Near metro and bus stop (Hohenzollernplatz), a shop just on the corner. Cheap accommodation if you don't have much expectations. Good and quite wide range of breakfast offer (however only between 8-10am), very tasty!

Main disadvantages: Nothing

Main advantages: The Pension is a very good choice for the budget traveller. It is within walking distance of the very centre of West Berlin and is close by a U Bahn station. There is also a bus. The breakfast is a real bonus and the staff are very helpful. Nearby there is a post office and also a launderette, which is very useful for the long-stay traveller. I had a nice clean room and there were a range of travellers staying there including families, so this Pension is not just for intrepid backpackers. This Pension will be my first choice on my future visits to Berlin.

Main disadvantages: When I stayed, breakfast was not provided for some unknown reason, but I got only 1.5 Euro back for this problem. The receptionist was not honest enough to apologise this. I had to go out for breakfast, and it costed me more than 1.5 Euro. It is said that WiFi is availbale in each room, but the signal was very weak in my room and I could not actually use internet at all.

Main advantages: The location is very good. The price is quite cheap.

Roman Pietermaritzburg, South Africa - Rest with children

Main disadvantages: The Asian restaurant next door does its best to stink out the whole neighbourhood.

Main advantages: The hotel is well-placed close to a U-Bahn station (although the station is temporarily closed for renovations). The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was the best I've had in comparable establishments.

Idris Edinburgh, United Kingdom - Group tour

Main disadvantages: Nothing really. It served the purpose I used it for. It is a good value for money hotel. Just a bit of improvement and it will be well okay.

Main advantages: Customer service and the location. The staff was highly informative and friendly. Free Internet browsing for 12hours and easy access to reception and bus routes very close to the hotel. Shpping centres and city attractions. It is good for the tourist. It is a good value for money. I will use it again though.

Main advantages: Very pleasant neighborhood (south from the Ku'damm, lots of restaurants and cafés), very cheap, clean and spacious room, plentiful breakfast. Possiblity to come in late (they leave the keys for you at a café nearby) Very good choice!

Main disadvantages: It is hard to store luggage there. You probably can't store luggage after about 5 p.m. But the Hauptbahnhof has luggage storage for all sizes of luggage.

Main advantages: This place is a great value in a good location. Also the breakfast is included.

Paulus Delfgauw, Netherlands - Individual tour

Main disadvantages: No 24 hours reception which means when you arrive late, you need to pick up the key on an other place. They changed my room without telling me. And they did not even move all my clothes to the other room. Strange experience.

Main advantages: Easy going hotel-pension - that feels good. The lady of the staff was very friendly. Breakfast is more then ok! Relation price-quality is very well.

Main disadvantages: Can't think of anything.

Main advantages: I loved the friendly staff and the excellent breakfast. And you can't beat the location: 10 minutes to the shopping strip and 1 minute to the next subway station!
