Main advantages: Given a double room which was large and well laid out. Have stayed in this level of hotel before, one that is part of a large building where the hotel takes up a floor or two. This hotel on 3rd and 4th floor but lift is available. Good breakfast range, enough to fill up for the morning. Helpful and happy staff and homely feel as not a large number of rooms and generally a peaceful atmosphere. Have key to front door for night entry and the location is perfect, 5 mins to u and s Bahn stations and plenty of local resturants of all nations. If you like a bit of quiet and chance to maybe practice your German then this is a great choice of hotel.

Main disadvantages: Only when you arrive at a locked front door the reception is on the third floor. We arrived at night to virtual darkness into a large hall area. The light switch is a very faint glow and if not used to this type is confusing and is used for all stairs and floors. The lift could be better signed on entry. Once sorted, no problems and we enjoyed our stay.

Main advantages: Its central location. Price included an excellent breakfast. Spacious room. Helpful reception. Able to purchase rail tickets at reception which is a "must" as on the platform at a machine is a nightmare understanding the type you require.

Sirpa Brussels, Belgium - Business trip

Main advantages: The room was clean and quite with a mini bar and a safe deposit box (which is rarely the the case with hotels of 2-3 stars. Besides, I always feel at home in these old buildings with high ceilings. It is also very easy to reach this hotel with the bus from the airport.

Main disadvantages: WiFi for a fee, an older tv with a small screen. The lift is very slow and cramped for the hotel on the higher floors.

Main advantages: Good location just a few steps from the bus stop "Bleibtreustrasse" on the street Kurfuerstendamm. Clean and big room and bathroom. Courtyard room was quiet and pleasant.

Main disadvantages: My room was next to the reception and also close to breakfast room, so without wearing earplugs it was difficult not to wake up on late arrival of other guests or in the breakfast preparations starting before 7am.

Main advantages: Friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms and extremely good location along the Kurfürstendamm main street. Also the breakfast was good and it was nice that hot drinks were served by the staff.

Main disadvantages: Minute claustrophobic lift. As the hotel is on floors 3 - 5 of the building the lift is important for luggage. It also doesn't go to floor 5 so you need to be able to manage some stairs. The room was clean and gave us what we needed but nothing extra - like shampoo!

Main advantages: The location is perfect, with easy access to the U-bahn, the S-bahn, buses, including the hop-on/ hop-off and taxis. There are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity, shops for most things you may need and much you may not. The breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant.
