| Main disadvantages: Window looked out to a roughcast wall so there was no view whatsoever.
No television in room although this was listed as available. When we
asked for a television (needed to entertain 2 teenage boys) we were told
this was not available because the televisions were being "changed
over". When we asked again for a television because boys wanted to watch
football we were again told it was not available and "they would not
understand it anyway because it is in German" as we had spoken in
English at check-in. I felt this was irrelevant to the point which was
that the facilities listed as available were not. |
| Main advantages: Good location with supermarkets, restaurants and places to drink nearby.
Offers late check out until 2 P.M. for an extra five euros which was
very helpful on last day. Breakfast excellent value for money at only 4
euros for an adult and 2 for a child, with young children eating free.
Breakfast available from 7 A.M. until 11 A.M. Cot was ready and waiting
in room complete with clean bedding with colourful covers. Room clean
but with some scuff marks on wall. Communal areas clean and hallways
recently painted. Maid service each day. |

| Main disadvantages: Be prepared for very spartan rooms with no tv, parquet floors and flimsy
front doors. No safe in room but you can leave things at reception by
signing them in/out. Room had separate shower room and toilet room. Due
to it being a hostel too, lots of young people making noise and partying
although not excessive. Walls are also very thin, and the people next
door coming back from partying woke us up, as they talked for about 1
hour before falling asleep...for two nights. You can also hear noises
come in from the courtyard if you are facing that way, which also
belongs to the hotel/hostel. |
| Main advantages: Within walking distance to everything downtown. Very good Continental
breakfast and liked that there was a bar, gameroom (with games you can
borrow), bike rentals and wifi for 5 euro a day. Breakfast was only 4
euro a day for adults and 2 euro for kids. I like the way the hotel
prices rooms. Two adults pay for a double and two children are free.
Fairly inexpensive parking garage and lots of good restaurants nearby. |

| Main disadvantages: All things are very good. Just, in my reservation page, it was written
that my room is on the upper floor with the view of Dom but I think they
change it and my room was in the third floor and without that
permission. |
| Main advantages: Before going there, they sent me the direction to hotel and guide me how
to go there and it help us. It is clean. The location is very good. The
staff can speak in English. I arrived late for one night, I called and
they kept my reservation. |

| Main advantages: I was staying with a small baby, the hotel provided a baby crib for
free. The room is basic, the bathroom is tiny, but for this price it is
a great value. The cleanliness was ok, but you do notice it is a budget
hotel.... The street was a bit noisy due to partying youth in the
evening, but not too bad. I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast is
good, all you can eat and only costs 4 eur. |

| Main disadvantages: The waterpressure isn't that good at the top floor so the hot water can be fluctuate a bit. Also note that it's a shared Hotel/Hostel, meaning although the top floors are truly private rooms, they do enforce some strict rules when it comes to sound levels and usage of shower at night (which might not be a bad thing) but this does destroy a bit of the "hotel" feeling. |
| Main advantages: For the price it's a very nice hotel. It's very clean and all staffmembers speak english. The hotelbar is very nice and we traveled with a group of friends and everything was to our liking, it was near the center of neumarkt where all the gamescom festivities took place. |

| Main advantages: The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the city. It has very
good facilities and halpful staff. Clean rooms. Good for families and
young travellers. Good value for money. |

| Main disadvantages: we would of liked to have a room for five....(we are a family of five;two adults and three children).because we could only book the room for six we didn't realise an extra person could be staying with us.It was ok but we would have preferred to have the sole use and therefore privacy. |
| Main advantages: provided exactly what it said it would......liked the general reception area...children loved bar football and atmosphere was good...open to all ages and nationalities not just students. |

| Main advantages: Budget friendly and tidy hotel for a city trip in Koln. Cheap parking in
own garage (12,5 / day) and at walking distance to the touristic center.
Well recommended. But be advised it is a 2 star lower budget youth and
family hotel, there is no fancy restaurant and yes you will meet other
"budget conscious travelers"!!! If you are looking forward for
a breakfast with fresh baked croissants and papaya juice and meeting the
president's wife please be realistic book another hotel! |
