This family-run hotel is ideally situated overlooking the River Moselle in Sehl, a 10-minute walk from Cochem’s picturesque town centre. Altes Winzerhaus offers free Wi-Fi and great views of Cochem Castle.

| Main advantages: We stayed in the apartment which slept four. It had an amazingly large kitchen, private patio, and very large sitting room. Breakfast was 5 E and was plentiful and varied. The patio overlooking the Mosel was breathtaking. The view of the Cochem castle was perfect. And parking was provided. |

| Main advantages: We booked this expecting a simply furnished 2 room apartment and was completely surprised to get a spacious, and beautifully furnished apartment. The kitchen was better equipped than my own . We had a large verandah so we decided to make dinner and stay in as it was such a great place to be. The breakfast was the best we had in our entire trip. complete with breads, cheese, meat, cereals and even scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. The hotel was incredibly clean and effeciently run. Definately the best hotel of our trip. When you calculate the cost saved by eating dinner in , the price is comparable any cheaper hotel, but the standard is much higher |

| Main advantages: The hotel staff set a standard of care unmatched by any other hotel we've stayed at in Germany. The breakfast was amazing - we've never seen our kids (6 & 3) eat so much. The owner is very hands-on and is meticulous inhis attention to detail. He knew our routine after one day and had the breakfast table set-up (drinks, place settings, chairs, etc.) exactly how we wanted it on the 2nd morning. We will be going back in the Summer and would not think of staying anywhere else. |

| Main advantages: The hotel was in an excellent location. We loved our balcony room overlooking the Mosel River. We spent many hours sitting on the balcony watched the boats, wildlife, etc. on the river. The innkeepers were very nice, but spoke limited English. The buffet breakfast was excellent. |

| Main advantages: The riverside location, it is at a central point for other towns and cities as well as the scenery. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and were very obliging. They helped us with our German and practised their English! It was my wife's first visit to Germany; she enjoyed it so much that we will return as soon as we can. |

| Main advantages: We reserved the "holiday apartment" because we had 3 people - it was huge and very well appointed. The bathrooms were very clean and modern; the kitchen was beautiful although we didn't use it because the hotel's breakfast was so generous and delicious. |

| Main disadvantages: Between the hotel and the river is a busy road - which could be noisey if you wanted a lie-in Also, when we stayed there was a mini-beer festival opposite which was quite noisy - but luckily for only one night. |
| Main advantages: Very clean and comfortable hotel with a lovely view of the Mosel river. The quadruple family room was pretty spacious and had a separate area for twin beds for the children. The bathroom had a good shower and there was a nice balcony area. Breakfast was excellent and teh staff very friendly and helpful - could not have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel is located in Sehl about 15 minutes walk down (beside the river) to central Cochem - just a couple of minutes by bike. |

| Main disadvantages: Parking lot is over 100 meters away from the hotel building. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. Only breakfast is served in the hotel and hardly any restaurants nearby, a little walk to the main shopping/dining area. Wi-Fi in room was very unstable and weak. |
| Main advantages: Clean rooms with balcony and view of the castle and river. Could borrow bicycles at no charge and the owner even let us use their washing machine. Breakfast was good and there is also a store right next door which was convenient. Our part of the building had an elevator. |

| Main advantages: Nice value. About a 10 minute walk to the Altstadt area. Proprietors were helpful and nice. Had a high chair set up for us at breakfast before we even came downstairs. Nice balcony views. |
