By Bus:
The connection to Prague is very good and buses run from Karlovy Vary to the Czech capital roughly once an hour (and sometimes every half hour). The journey takes approximately 2 – 2.5 hours. By prior request, the hotel can arrange a taxi to pick guests up from the bus station.

By Train:
The hotel is approximately 3 km from the train station. By prior request, the hotel can arrange a taxi to pick guests up from the train station.

Main disadvantages: The elevator doesn't seem to stop on the first floor oftenly. So when I was hurrying to transfer my luggage to the ground floor, while my car transfer was waiting downstairs for me, I had to wait for about 10 minutes for the elevator to get to the ground floor. It was very irritating. Also, they dont seem to have a bell-boy. I had to take my luggage up to my room and back myself.

Main advantages: The location! It was perfect for a solo traveller like myself because everything was just a stone's throw away fromt this hotel. I loved the variety in their breakfast too! It was huge and delicious! Martina, at the reception, was a great help too. She was very sweet and kind to me. :)

Main disadvantages: It's a little far from bus facilities and a long way from the train station.

Main advantages: Great location in the heart of Karlovy-Vary. Brilliant staff, who were so helpful in every way. Beautiful building, although my room was a little small (but they had told me that, and I got a very good price). Generous breakfast and a fine restaurant.

Main advantages: Location just perfect. Staff very helpful. Breakfasts super. Very high quality cooking (I couldn't eat anywhere else in town). The room clean and quiet. I slept perfectly well there.

Main disadvantages: It's a little worn and tired and the inside no way matches the outside.

Main advantages: The staff were quite friendly, the breakfasts were of quite a good standard for the Czech Republic, the brakfast terrace gets good sunlight in the morning. The showers were good.

Main advantages: We loved the restaurant-the food and service were outstanding. We loved the town-everything was beautiful, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The value for the price was very good. The staff were very helpful.

Main disadvantages: Dont expect any 'courtesies'.. Anything you want you have to pay!! Not even a late check out! Or room with a view despite one night on a quiet mid week.

Main advantages: Breakfast ambience! And settings..oldie worldie charm, befits settings.
