Brno is surrounded on 3 sides by wooded hills and opens to the Southern Moravian lowlands on its south side. In the north the foothills of the Drahany and the Bohemian-Moravian mountain range can be found.

The Grandhotel Brno is conveniently located opposite Brnos Main Railway Station, It is 8 km to the International Airport Tuøany, 3 km to the Highway, 3 km to the Fair grounds, and close to the Bus Terminals. From the airport The City Bus No 76 will take you to the city centre (Main Railway Station) in about 15 minutes. Opposite the station you will find the Grandhotel Brno, From Fair Grounds Tram No 1 direction Hlavní nádraí to Main Railway Station. From the bus station Zvonaøka

| Main disadvantages: Old, very bed and cheap renovation. You can make hotel from comunist era to 4**** but you need more money for that. On this way you still have comunist "smell" in hotel. |

| Main advantages: The staff was really nice. Although this is not a sport hotel by any means, I was allowed to keep my mountain bike in my room and no one asked any questions when I walked through the lobby with the bike after a muddy ride. |

| Main disadvantages: I was surprised that wi-fi wasn't freely available as it had been in a 3* hotel I stayed in in the same city on another occasion. |
| Main advantages: The hotel is very comfortable and felt very safe and secure. The room had a lounge area separate to the bedroom which felt quite fancy. The food was OK. |

| Main advantages: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Second visit this year and with the help of a czech friend saww many interesting places during both summer and winter stays. Highly recommended. The only problem is lack of tourist information which would boost hotel. My friend is extremely knowledgable so we were very fortunate visiting caves, lakes, restaurants etc. Czech people very friendly. |

| Main disadvantages: too close to the main railway station with its dirt and crowds |
| Main advantages: one of very few hotels that actually tried to isolate rooms from noise - they tried to made soundproof doors in rooms. although they did not succeded in full, the attempt deserves respect. location is good, besides, a student agency bus from vienna airport stops in 50 meters from the hotel |

| Main disadvantages: In the rooms there isn't wireless internet. In the lobby there is a wireless, internet, however I couldn't connect to it with two separate devices. Interestingly the prepaid O2 wireless internet works. I wonder why... |

| Main disadvantages: The few Fire Escapes I could see seemed to be locked on all floors. Only exit seemed to be the main staircase at the centre of the hotel. Saying that in the Deluxe Suites in the corners of the building (4 on each floor) you could open the massive windows wide and potentially get out on the tiled roof and down. A minor point but the only one thing I think could be improved to bring it up to Western standards. |
| Main advantages: Chandeliers and wood paneling in Deluxe Suite bedrooms says it all. Mixed with state-of-the-art bathroom, marble staircases and a very interesting breakfast room with a "lake" in the centre (as everyone nicknamed it) made a great stopover night. Excellent overall. Shame it's in a slightly sleezy area, but with doormen, card entry and parking security (you'll be charged 15 Euros to park out the front of the hotel on the street but there's a guy watching over it and it's safe enough so I suppose that's fair) that didn't matter. Everyone slept like logs. Couldn't ask for more. If I'm back in Brno, that'll be the only choice and we'd all be back. |

| Main disadvantages: upon leaving we requested a Taxi from the Check in desk, however upon arriving at the Airport our taxi driver informed us that the 87Kc on the metre was wrong and it must be broken and made us pay 450Kc fior the trip. This has soured my view of your hotel as i am now unsure if there is some collusion between your staff and taxi companies in overcharging customers. I will have to think very seriously before using your hotel again |

| Main disadvantages: More English TV channels. Was bored of German MTV and US CNN by the time I left! |
| Main advantages: The Grandhotel Brno is a short distance from the tram station which was very handy. I stayed there and used it as a base during an exhibition at the Fairground. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Suggestion is to try the Hotel restaurant, the food was fantastic! |
