Main disadvantages: The only complaint we encountered was the last 2 day's breakfast service. When we came down into their separate "vip" breakfast room, no staff were around for us to request tea or coffee. When one eventually turned up, she was rather unhelpful so in the end we have to go and get our own pot of coffee. This is very different to the first couple of days though when a different staff was very courteous and helpful. This is minor though compared to our lovely stay at this hotel.

Main advantages: We stayed at the suite. It has a bedroom and a living area, though only separated by curtains it worked well to link the space together. The room size is very large and more than adequate. Furnishings are traditionally elegant reminiscent of a more opulent era. The staff are all very helpful, the reception, house keeping, but especially the porter services. All facilities are as described. The reception area though is a little bit outdated.

Main disadvantages: Five stars for this hotel is generous. It was our misfortune that building work was taking place on either side of the hotel which meant that cement hoppers and porta-cabins spoiled the outside area in Wenceslas Square. The front of the building and the downstairs public areas could do with a make-over. However, biggest problem was inadequate air conditioning despite this being mentioned in the room spec. The air con was provided by a free standing unit but it was designed to go no lower that 18 degrees and since it was working permanently, we assumed that it never got down to that level so we were uncomfortably warm most of the time.

Main advantages: For access to public transport the location was excellent. We had a suite which was spacious and comfortable.

Main advantages: Huge room with high ceilings and loads of character. Hotel right in the heart of city, excellent for exploring on foot and close to public transport links.

Main disadvantages: The only disadvantage was the building work going on at the adjoining building which started very early each morning

Main advantages: This was our first visit to Prague and we spent most of our time sighsteeing.This hotel was in an ideal location for most of the places we visited. It was not necessary to take a tram or metro due to the hotels excellent location for which I award it 5 stars.
