Bogota where local and designer shops abound just outside of the hotel. Supermarkets and money exchanges are nearby. About 1700 pesos to U.S $1.00. Taxis are quickly arranged by the receptionist and a tour to downtown Bogota is U.S. $10 per hour. To the airport is $18.00 and about half an hour away. The hotel has a great little burger restaurant open for lunch and dinner and one can sit outside and watch pedestrians nicely dressed walk by. It feels like if you are in Paris or New York. The weather is great. It feels like Spring or Fall with the sun shining brightly on some mornings. You get a homey feeling with the apartments totally furnished with a refrigerator and stove. The location is just great for lovers, individuals, business travelers, and families. Main disadvantages: There was no taxi awaiting for me at the airport upon my request, but it was easy to get one. The hotel does not have any elevators but stairs, so if you have heavy luggage or aching knees then it is difficult. But the receptionist is willing to assist. The breakfast is limited but it certainly keeps the hunger pangs away with toast, eggs, cheese, and fruit. There are no bicycles as advertised on this website.
