Main disadvantages: It's at the Congress centre, a 15 minue walk from the old town. An easy
hop on the tram, but not as central as I would normally choose. The
hotel had no tea, or coffee making facilities, and the wellness centre
dodn't open until 4pm in the afternoon.

Main disadvantages: The worst 'view' I've ever had staying in a hotel anywhere in the
world so far! We were on the 5th floor, in room 503 and we were not
warned that our big floor to ceiling window looked out directly on to
a giant sloping upwards tin roof of the building right next door to
us!!! The price should definitely be reduced for this floor and side
of the hotel!!
Because the Restaurant Filou was exceptionally closed (we had not been warned and it was a Saturday lunchtime!) we had to eat at the Sky Lounge on the 30th floor. We chose hamburgers which had obviously come out of the freezer as they tasted extremely processed...disappointing for a hotel of this caliber...
Main advantages: Magnificent view from the 30th floor overlooking the whole of Basel.
Staff very friendly. Room very modern & good colour scheme/design.

Main disadvantages: We booked an executive double which was on the small side. There was a connecting room which was locked but you could hear everything in the adjoining room, which was a nuisance. No ipod docking station either.
Main advantages: The location of the hotel was very good. Also on arrival at the hotel we received a public transport ticket which allowed unlimited usage of the transport system in the area, i.e. trams and buses. The room was spotless and well equipped with toiletries etc and water was provided every day. There was a fridge in the room. Nice view of the city from the sky bar.

Main advantages: Ramada Plaza Basel is located close to the centre of Basel. There's a tram stop only about a minute walk from the hotel. The main train station is only 5 mins on the tram, too. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and secure.

Main disadvantages: The bed was a bit hard. It was not possible to have a shower without wetting the bathroom floor. After having a shower, the windows were steamed up.

Main advantages: We picked this hotel as its really central for visiting Basel and I would definitely recommend it. The hotel is bright and contemporary and the rooms are very well furnished and equiped. The lounge and bar on the 30th floor gave really great view of the city and the free ticket to use on public transport is a great idea. Parking at the hotel is very limited, but there is a multistorey very close with a preferential rate. The buffet breakfast had a very good choice and the resturant, although abit expensive had a good choice and the food was excellent.

Main disadvantages: Too funky and angular design, bare bones, not all that practical, towel rack under the wash basin for example, beds small, no movies on demand.
Main advantages: Room was spacey. Sky bar(?) had a great view. Location good and free transport on trams and buses made moving around easy. Did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurant

Main advantages: Very nice, attentive, and service-minded reception service. Nice view of the city from the panorama windows in the room. And the fact that every hotel guest (in Basel, not only at the Ramada) gets a free pass on all public transportation is really nice.

Main disadvantages: Did not like the carpet in the room during our second stay. I do not like dogs being allowed in Hotels.

Main disadvantages: I was 12 floor and the wifi is not working in my bedroom at 23 h, low signal with my netbook, with a laptop it's work not all the time but work better, but it's work in the lobby perfectly...
