Main advantages: The style of the Hotel is classic without being "heavy" of fake. Is a nice experience to spend a weekend there. The staff is pleasant and helpful, always ready to make sure you enjoy your stay and leave satisfied. I would recommend this hotel to someone passing from Brussels

Main disadvantages: I only missed a kettle in my room, the rest was perfect

Main advantages: It is a very elegant and comfort hotel, not very noticeable and for that very private and with class. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious with great bathrooms and comfortable beds.

Main disadvantages: One of the rooms was perhaps a little small, but for the money we had paid we certainly had no complaints. The rack rates are outrageous, but the special offers at the weekend are excellent value for money.

Main advantages: We liked the Stanhope better than we expected to, given some previous reviews. Staff were discreet and professional without being at all pompous or unfriendly. Both our rooms were charmingly decorated and the bathrooms worked well. The location is excellent for a leisure trip, just across the inner ring road from the royal palace, and two minutes from the metro/tram/bus connections at Place du Trône. Breakfast was fresh, comprehensive and elegantly served. Brussels was looking nicer than usual - autumn is a good time to visit. We'd go back to the Stanhope in a heartbeat.

Main advantages: I am a regular visitor at the Stanhope. It retains the feeling of a privately owned hotel, with most rooms being quite different from any other and decorated in a sypathetic style. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is good! Above all it is supremely comfortable!

Main advantages: We greatly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room, friendly staff. Good internet wireless connection at a reasonable price. Great breakfast and coffee, but a little expensive.

Main disadvantages: 1.Unfortunately, when a bedside lamp or the light in the bathroom is switched on, almost every other lamp in the suite turn on too (and they are many!) 2.The smell in the toilet is not what one may expect in a 5*!

Main advantages: The Fontainbleau Suite is charming, and very comfortable, common spaces look neat and welcoming, staff is professional and despite their restaurant was closed for maintainence the room-service still provides an acceptable dinner. A place to recommend to every lover of comfor and beauty, especially when reduced room-rates are available.
