This restored 14th-century patrician’s residence and former brewery boasts unique features such as an ornate staircase and grand public spaces. Azalea offers free Wi-Fi and is only 500 metres from the Grote Markt and Belfry. A minibar, TV and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in all of the rooms at Azalea Hotel. They also benefit from a work desk and a private bathroom. The Beguinage and De Halve Maan Brewery are both less than a 15-minute walk from Hotel Azalea. The Concert Hall is a 5-minute walk away. Guests can make use of an airport shuttle or bicycle rental upon request. Each morning a buffet breakfast is served in the old patrician’s dining room. Main advantages: exactly what we wanted for a weekend break, rooms comfortable and warm, didn't see the Chambermaids, but room cleaned and beds made each day. Breakfast more than adequate

Main advantages: location, room facilities - superior room had fridge/hairdryer/trouser press/tea and coffee making facilties/free wi-fi good selection at breakfast for small hotel friendly and courteous staff

Main advantages: 1. Excellent location. 2. Very comfortable room and bed. 3. Satisfying breakfast with a good time window. 4. All the staff were very warm and friendly including the owner but the star of the show was "Guy" the night porter/barman.

Main disadvantages: I cannot think of anything I did not like. The bed was a little lumpy if you knelt on it but it was comfortable for sleeping.

Main advantages: The staff were exceptional; friendly and accommodating of my needs. I did not feel like 'yet another customer' but a valued guest. My first impressions were solidified in the morning when I had overslept by 15 minutes but still needed to leave at 07h05 to catch my train. The staff provided a quick cup of coffee and then helped me store a few items to take away and eat on my journey so that I did get some breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family, friends and colleagues recommend

Main disadvantages: Checking out is a nightmare. We stayed for 1 night in June as well as 1 night in October. On both occassions we were subjected to long waits to the extent that the second time, we went out for a walk and came back when there was no one waiting at reception. Be prepared to wait up to an hour when busy.

Main advantages: Staff friendly and helpfull. Hotel is comfortable and has a nice ambiance and very conveniant for the city centre and sights of Brugge.

Main disadvantages: Long distance from train station. Would have been good if web site could have given transport options to get to the hotel from the railway station.

Main advantages: Close to city center, old-style comfort of the room. Also liked the fact that you could open the windows and put in a screen for insects. Relatively quiet room.

Main disadvantages: The rooms were adequate, though perhaps in need of a decorative freshen- up. The double bed was nice and big, but the fitted sheet only barely covered the mattress even when stretched to its limits, and it regularly came off during the night! The bathroom was fine and the room was always well serviced, so these slight niggles are only very minor in the grand scale of things.

Main advantages: The hotel was well located for the Centre of Bruges - shops and tourist attractions - but also for the railway station, restaurants, etc. The staff were friendly, warm and always helpful. The buffet breakfast was good and the dining room pleasant.

Main disadvantages: The breakfast crockery was too small to put a standard sized breakfast on, the plates were the size of a side plate, and some of the teapots were either chipped or glued back together. A side plate would have been useful for bread rolls. However we did not know what to expect, and the hotel and staff were lovely.

Main advantages: We liked the fact that it was an individual boutique hotel, with character, rather than part of a chain of hotels

Main advantages: The welcome was very good. We were upgaded to a very nice room. The staff were helpful and friendly and full of information. The breakfast was good. The hotel was situated in a quite street and easil acces tp public transport. Only a five minute walk to the market square. Would go to stay again.

Main disadvantages: Took 30 minutes to check out as the printer wasn't working.

Main advantages: Great location with friendly helpful staff, nice clean room, great little bar and terrace by the canal followed by a nice breakfast. Would come again.
