Academie is less than 100 metres from the famous Minnewater in a scenic and peaceful area of Bruges. The hotel includes a cosy bar, underground parking and a terrace garden with a fish pond.

| Main advantages: Lovely hotel by the Minnewater Lake and only 10 mins walk to the main
square. Huge bathrooms and nice comfy beds. There is a good choice at
breakfast and a nice bar to relax in. If iI'm ever in Bruges again, I
would definitely choose this hotel! |

| Main disadvantages: Late-night noise from smokers in courtyard (up until 2pm until I shouted from the window). Suggested in the morning that people should not be allowed to sit and chat under bedroom windows after midnight, but was told 'we can'd stop them - only place to smoke'. Surely some internal space could be organised for late-night smokers? |

| Main disadvantages: Room smelled smokey when we arrived. Receptionist moved us without a fuss. Car park expensive but it is right under hotel and in a very tight location. MPV with roofbox may not get into CP as it's a very low entry. |

| Main advantages: Location excellent for those using public transport - close to railway station and bus station but within easy walking distance of all tourist attractions. Staff on reception very helpful and informative. |

| Main disadvantages: Unable to check in until 3.30pm although hotel said check in from 3pm. No safety devices on windows and ours on the top floor opened completely. |
| Main advantages: Lovely hotel right in the heart of the town. Immaculately clean and very comfortable. Having car parking on site was a huge draw for us, it's pretty small though and can be nervewracking getting into a spot - definately have someone helping you! There is a lift from the car park in the basement so you don't need to drag cases up steps. Worth mentioning that the windows in rooms open completeley & are without safety devices, so if you have children maybe ask for room on lower floor. Also although check in is 3pm our room wasn't ready until 3.30pm, bit disappointing as we had travelled overnight and were shattered, but other than that a lovely hotel and a wonderful weekend break. |

| Main advantages: I found my short stay very pleasant, hotel staff were very helpful and
they allowed us to store our luggage the next day in the lobby even
though we had already checked-out... Overall a nice hotel that I would
definitely reccomend to other travellers. |

| Main disadvantages: The blue LEDs in the light switches (and the green/orange/red LED in the heating switch) might shine a little too bright for light sleepers. If this is your case (it isn't mine) bring either a sleeping mask or some tape. |
| Main advantages: Excellent location, half-way between (and walking distance from) the train station and Brugges center. The breakfast is excellent and has a huge variety (except, perhaps, in fruits), and the multi-lingual staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. |

| Main disadvantages: The cleaning people came both mornings up to four times knocking on our door seeing if they could start cleaning, even on the morning we left. That was quite annoying to be honest but that was the only negative point. |

| Main advantages: The location was excellent, extremely central on a nice, quiet street. The staff were very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was great value with a huge range of food and drink to choose from. It filled us up until dinnertime. The rooms were beautifully furnished and had coffee/tea facilities. I would have expected to pay alot more for the rooms than we did. |
