Travel information

Salzburg´s main airport (Salzburg Airport-W.A.Mozart-SZG) is about 4 km west from the centre, reachable with public bus number 2 at regular intervals between Salzburg main railway station and Salzburg Airport. Journey time approx.20 minutes. The centre is also served by taxis which can be found directly in front of the Salzburg airport.

Driving directions:
Take A1 and exit “Mitte”. Follow Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse and at the first crossing after the bridge, turn right. Go under the railroad. After the next traffic light, turn left.
Another option is to make use of the hotel route system. Follow the orange signs Nr. 8 and it will take you to the Sheraton Salzburg Hotel.

The hotel does not have private parking facilities, but a parking garage directly underneath the hotel is available

Cancellation
If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Main advantages: Incredibly beautiful design, and rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable. Food was fantastic and nicely presented. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely where I will stay next time I am in Salzburg!

Main disadvantages: The room was nice, the bathroom, too, but the hotel needs a face lit. It's very dated. Other than that, our visit was wonderful. Slow Internet...really slow.

Main advantages: The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting about the town and making dinner reservations. The location was good.

Main disadvantages: None - but beware food and drink prices for a hotel of this quality

Main advantages: Our experience was staggeringly good - we have stayed at the Saltzburg Sacher but although that is excellent it is a bit starchy for a family with 20 somethings who are a bit lively. Everything about the Sheraton was excellent - the friendliness and the service were absolutely great - beware though Saltzburg is not cheap so although you may get a deal on the room if you drink and eat at the Sheraton you will pay high prices.

Main disadvantages: We were all very surprised that the cost of breakfast was not included in what was already quite a high room rate. When we asked about the cost of breakfast, it was a punitively high rate - having said that, there were lots of lovely cafes within a very short walking distance where we had excellent breakfasts - indeed we saw many fellow guests dinign in these cafes who clearly also felt that the hotel's breakfast costs were far too expensive.

Main advantages: The location and facilities were extrememly good; service and friendliness of staff was also highly commendable.

Main disadvantages: Checking-in took longer time than the expected due to room preparation. The other thing concerns is that thier computer is authorizing the credit card on a daily basis (seems noisy when a purchase operation made on your card at a time when you were in bed).

Main advantages: I was lucky to get a free promotion from classic double room to a presedential suite ! Moreover, hotel services were extra-ordinary & staff were cooperative & helpful. The internet service in the lobby was free with no charges.

Main advantages: This was a complete hotel. It had everything you could possibly want in a hotel. The stafff was wonderful and very accomadating especially the two bartenders who were very freindly and fun to be around. The location was very good and Salzburg is beautiful. I highly recommend a stay at this Sheraton location.
