Built in 1872, this 5-star hotel is located on the elegant Ringstraße boulevard in the centre of Vienna. The air-conditioned rooms offer free wired internet access and free minibars.

| Main advantages: Location was excellent. Bus, tram and underground one minute away and
just a short walk from all the main city sights. Our suite on the 6th
floor was so comfortable, plenty of space to relax in, luxury bathroom
and cosmetics. Plentiful breakfast, nice surroundings and good service.

from minibar was a nice touch. Staff were helpful too, gave us
directions and helped us book tickets for the opera. |

| Main disadvantages: Though it is advertised as free mini bar be aware that mini bar consists
only of soft drinks and 2 bottles of beer. Sparkling wine for
breakfest... As well you need to look for it very hard :) it is bedind
all freshly squeezed juices, covered with towel :) hope it help you :~)
As well as we stayed in Junior suite it says - panoramic views of Vienna
( all you can see is roofs of the buildings beside hotel.) for 5 star
hotel we were expecting more luxurios environment, that is what we have
in ireland |

| Main disadvantages: The Hotel de France boasts "free minibar" but the minibar is far from
complete, only two beers, four sugary soft drinks and water. It was not
impressive at all. |

Free internet was also convenient. Breakfast was good quality, with
many choices. |

| Main disadvantages: Whilst it had well provided fitness centre, it sadly lacked a pool. |
| Main advantages: We had booked a Junior Executive suite which overlooked the city and at night one was treated to the lighted treats of the various nearby churches and public buildings. The Prater could be seen in the far distance. This is a hotel where the staff where both courteousness and attentative, the level of service was excellent and the normal paid for extra's (such as the minibar and internet access) came as free. An American style breakfast (including Champagne) was included in the price, although you could eat from any part of the well laid out spread of breakfast fare. We also eat there in the evening on two occasions and further also similarly sampled their bar menu. The food was excellent both in quantity and quality.The local Austrian wines whilst young were of good quality and very palatable. We are planning to use this Hotel and/or one of it's sister hotels again |

| Main disadvantages: Our room was very small and the air conditioning did not work well.
Apart from the bottles of water, there was nothing in the free minibar
that I wanted to drink. We didn't eat the breakfast due to the cost
which at 26 Euro per person seemed very expensive. |

| Main advantages: Very good location to discover most Vienna attractions by foot. 10 min. walk into city center. Also excellent location for public transportation with Subway and Streetcar e.g. go to Grenzing or Prater. Rooms were clean and comfortable. |
