Main disadvantages: creaky floor.

Main advantages: very spacious room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, very good location. we booked a standard room but it was not possible to put a baby bed in it, so we were upgraded to a superior double at the price of a standard. that was a very pleasant surprise.

Main disadvantages: no complaints whatsoever

Main advantages: Lovely room at the front of the hotel and also very quiet inspite of the traffic. Great bathroom and appreciated the welcoming chocolate.

Main advantages: The staff was excellent. It is a family run hotel that is just a cut above. Has lots of old world charm. Across the street from the house where Mozart lived. Around the corner from the Mirabell garden and near the pedestrian walkway bridge into the main part of the old town and shopping.

Main disadvantages: Decor lacking in upstairs corridors - may need redecoration. Minibar prices high for bottle of still water - should have been free for that level of hotel.

Main advantages: Central location, very helpful staff, good food and traditional decor.

Main disadvantages: The restaurant is 5star price but while service is great the food is not 5star standard.

Main advantages: The hotel is superbly appointed and smacks of class from the moment the staff take your keys and park your car for you. The rooms are bright and airy and the whole place has a luxurious feel. It's not quite a 5star but it's at the top end of 4 and is priced competitively. Ideally positioned for a Salzburg City break

Main disadvantages: The food in the hotel restaurant was not good.I had wiener schnitzl which was dry and the potatoes were soggy.

Main disadvantages: - No tea or coffee making facilities- Exorbitant charges for wireless access but wired Internet is free. There is also one free to use terminal near reception- Noisy air conditioner- Tube based TV

Main advantages: We were given a room at the end of the first floor. The room faced the main street. I was concerned that we would get traffic noise but the room has a small balcony with an inner and outer glass door. This provides effective noise isolation and the room was very quite.- Beautiful old style hotel with palatial rooms- Large modern bathroom- Comfortable king size bed- Friendly, helpful staff- Near the river. Walking distance to the old city. - Bus stop just outside. Catch the bus from the station

Main disadvantages: Few of the employees spoke English, the Front Desk ladies were most helpful but then the rest could not understand what we were asking or saying.

Main advantages: The help in scheduling day trips to historic places was great. NO other hotel we stayed in while in Germany or Austria gave that kind of service.
