The Hotel Alpha is a modern three star hotel.
Conveniently located in one of the most charming districts of Vienna close to Vienna’s City Hall, the Austrian Parliament and Ringstrasse. It had been attractively refurbished and newly furnished and offers relaxation and hospitality in the best Viennese tradition. Due to the excellent location it is ideal both for tourists and for business travelers.

The hotel is not accessible for disabled people.

Food & Beverage

Buffet breakfast is served from 06:30 to 10:30 every morning. Early risers can, upon request, order a thermo-breakfast.

Area information

The Hotel Alpha is conveniently located in one of the most charming districts of Vienna. Due to the excellent location close to Vienna’s City Hall, the Austrian Parliament and Ringstrasse, it is ideal both for tourists and for business travelers. Using the nearby Underground U2 you can easily reach the famous cultural points of interest such as St. Stephen’s Cathedral, MuseumsQuartier Vienna, Museums of Natural History and Fine Arts, the Hofburg, State Opera, etc.

How to reach us by means of public transport:

From the Airport: The new City Airport Train, CAT, will take you to the city centre, Station Wien-Mitte in about 16 minutes. Departures every 30 minutes, Eur 9 per person single fare. Underground U3 direction Ottakring to Volkstheater, change to Underground U2 direction Schottenring to Rathaus, 2 minutes walk to Buchfeldgasse, to No 8, Hotel Alpha.

The Schnellbahn S7 (train) will take you to Wien Südbahnhof in 40 minutes. Tram D direction Nussdorf to Stadiongasse/Parlament, change to Tram J direction Ottakring for one stop to Landesgerichtsstrasse, 2 minutes walk to Buchfeldgasse, to No 8, Hotel Alpha.

From West Railway Station: (Westbahnhof): Underground U3 direction Simmering to Volkstheater, change to Underground U2 direction Schottenring to Rathaus, 2 minutes walk to Buchfeldgasse, to No 8, Hotel Alpha.

From South Railway Station: (Südbahnhof)
Tram D direction Nussdorf to Stadiongasse/Parlament, change to Tram J direction Ottakring for one stop to Landesgerichtsstrasse, 2 minutes walk to Buchfeldgasse, to No 8, Hotel Alpha.

Cancellation
If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and extra beds
All children are welcome.
One child under 9 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.
One child under 2 years stays free of charge in a baby cot.
One older child or adult is charged 30 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Prepay Policy
No deposit will be charged.

When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.

Internet
Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas and is free of charge.
Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and charges are applicable.

Parking
Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 16 per day.

Main advantages: Great location, on the outer ring, just 2 minutes walk from Rathouse metro station Very quite street Room is not big, but not too small. Only shower (No bath tab) but very modern. Very very clean. Great brakefast

Main disadvantages: The air was too dry because of the heat, the carpet was a bit dirty at the entrance. They should include a romanian TV channel in their free list (they have russian, arabian channels, etc)

Main advantages: Small but nice room, with safe included in price; placed on a quiet street very close to underground station Rathaus U3; staff very helpful; breakfast was good.

Main advantages: Excellent location for the Rathaus and the main Christmas Markets. Nice restaurants and bars just round the corner. All the hotel and the rooms were very clean, spacious and comfy and the breakfast had excellent choice and was scrumptious!!!

Konstantinos Athens, Greece - Rest with friends

Main advantages: We stayed at hotel Alpha for 4 nights and it was great! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and with a variety of choices. The room was excellent. We were lucky enough to stay at the last floor with a window looking at the sky. The staff was very kind and very eager to help us in any way. The room was being cleaned every morning. The location was also very convenient, nearby to rathause metro station (u2) and just a few metres from the biggest xmas village. Nothing bad to mention. Looking forward to staying there again.

Main disadvantages: The double bedroom is quite small

Main advantages: The staff was great, I have been upgraded from single room to double bebroom for same price Great location, very close to U-Ban station. Good breakfest.

Main advantages: Alpha is a small hotel in a very good central location with ease of access to all main sites via public transport. The hotel is modern and all facilities were very adequate. Staff were friendly and professional with reception staff deserving special mention.

Manola , - Rest with children

Main disadvantages: Perhaps the early morning commotion outside on the streets.

Main advantages: Location - excellent location just off the ring road, with the metro line Rathaus close by. It is within walking distance to the Rathaus, crossing over to the Burgtheater and then to the Hofburg, Heroes' Platz, Kohlmarkt, Graben and St Stephens. Or the other direction, to Maria Theresa Platz and then to MariaHilfer Strasse. We simply loved this walk!!! Also excellent staff and very helpful, especially the lady working in the mornings during the weekdays and the lady working in the evening shift. They were always willing to help out, very friendly and a very good command of the english language!!
