Main disadvantages: We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and made
sure we had everything we needed and helped us book into all the tours
we needed. My only gripe was that breakfast was not included in the
room price and that we had to pay extra. In my experience, this is
quite unusual.
Main advantages: We really enjoyed the complimentary Gluhwein after a big day out
in the snow!

Main disadvantages: One particular member of the staff was not particularly friendly during
check-in. He was not helpful with sightseeing advice and appeared to be
agitated by people in general. Hopefully, this is not the norm and was
attributed to just having "a bad day."
Main advantages: Loved the large room with separate bedrooms/living space! 2 bathrooms,
but only one toilet - grateful for the space, though (one shower and one
full bath). Coffee/hot water carafe provided! Very cozy, warm atmosphere
for Christmas time. Close to transportation and city highlights.
Highlight: The restaurant below, Zum Hirschen, is under new management
and is superb! We never eat at hotel restaurants, but we were thrilled
to try this one! The chef is wonderfully creative and each dish was
incredible (we had to order dessert, just to see what he would do
next!). Our waiter was beyond friendly, going above and beyond to see to
our every need and desire. Highly recommend!

Main advantages: We were very pleasantly surprised by the unique design and quality of
the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was
excellent and the price for the few days very good value. The location
for both the train station and the city in Salzburg are great!

Main disadvantages: A small quibble, but not very negative, no shampoo.
Main advantages: The hotel met every expectation of a clean ,comfortable 4 star hotel.The lobby was welcoming ,as was the reception staff. The rooms were spacious, and spotlessly clean. But it was the extra touches that really made our stay special. Chocolates on the pillow, punch and water in the foyer. All in all the experience was very positive.

Main advantages: The staff spoke excellent English, was always ready & willing to help.
The rooms were clean, wifi was free in the rooms. The small room off the
lobby where we could sit as a group and visit was wonderful.

Main disadvantages: The worst thing is the "double" bed, which is in facts a combined bed with twin beds. I know this is a norm in Austria but I don't think this can be called double bed or queen bed.
Main advantages: The room here is excellent, which is very big with partition between bedroom and wardrobe/bathroom. The air conditioning also made me feeling comfortable. The hotel also provides hot punches in lobby during these freezing days to give us warm.

Main advantages: Friendly Staff, Very Good Food, Established looking inside and out. Bus
lines close by and train station nearby. Helpful in everyway. Bikes in
good condition to use. I wish I had found a place like this in Munich.

Main disadvantages: WiFi in the room was very weak. Worked fine in hallway, but that's not
very useful.
Main advantages: This hotel far exceeded our expectations. I took my parents to Salzburg
and stayed here. The triple room had 2 separate rooms which was great
for privacy. There was a small refrigerator and desk space to have a
meal in the room. We did not pay for the breakfast downstairs. The
bathroom was large and everything was good quality and functional, plus
some nice amenities. No old or cheap fixtures to worry about. On the 4th
floor is a very large and extensive spa with several saunas, showers,
relaxation room and a bar. Amazing. The quality of the area was
equivalent to the spa area at nice public pools in Austria. Bottom line
- I'll stay at this hotel again.

little expensive because of needing an extra room to accomodate our
